Daddy's Little Baller

Oh what joy it would be for Shane to see his little girl play high school and/or college volleyball. He's starting her early by getting her to play ball with him. She loves it. Only 15 more years to see his efforts pay off!

Our little bean!

It's ALIVE! Today we had our first appointment for this pregnancy. I have been anxious to find out if there was really something growing inside me. I have had no other pregnancy symptoms other than the 2 lines on the pee stick. I am so grateful that I do not get sick. I didn't with Kendall and I'm glad I haven't yet. I feel lucky! I have heard of some crazy-horrific stories on morning sickness.

Our official due date is JANUARY 28th. The process of baby making and development is truly amazing. Heavenly Father sure knows what he is doing!

Our appointment just happened to be scheduled with the midwife that delivered Kendall. It was great to see her again. She asked me if I was ready to do this again...and I said only if she is! I asked her if she remembers most of her deliveries and she said, "No, just the ones like yours that made an impact." If any of you know Kendall's labor & delivery story, you know how much of an impact it made on everyone involved. That was one crazy ride, but well worth every minute! I am determined to do it again without an epidural and hopefully this time in the jacuzzi tub. But, of course, we will just go with the flow! We got jipped out of the tub last time because I was given pitocen. We'll see how it goes...in about 7 months!

SIDE NOTE: I love midwives! If anyone is having a baby, I highly recommend midwives to deliver your baby in the hospital. They are amazing. They are there with you every step of the way including the entire labor AND delivery. By law, they most be overseen by a treating physician. Therefore, if there are any complication, they will call in the doctor. They have the best "bedside manner". You can tell they genuinely care about you and your baby.

8 months

EIGHT MONTHS AND COUNTING! Kendall is getting so big and getting into everything. She can't sit still unless, of course, her favorite ducky episode of VeggieTales is on. She loves to crawl up to us, hang on our legs, look up at us and give us that puppy dog look saying, "Pick me up!" She is cute and so dang irresistible!

At 8 months, Kendall:
- crawls and cruises everywhere
- eats adult table foods
- smacks her lips when she wants a bite
- is starting use the 2 finger grab for food
- loves to stare at new people
- waves
- starting to clap
- loves to bang objects on things
- gives big, nasty, lovable, wet kisses
- loves to kiss herself in the mirror
- loves when you crawl towards her on the floor
- squeals and screams when she laughs

Happy Father's Day

To my daddy:
There are not enough words to express my love and gratitude for you. You have always been there for me no matter what. I love that I can call you for anything and you always know the right answers. You are always full of wisdom and understanding. I am grateful for all the wonderful things you have done for me throughout the years. You are more than a father, more than a dad, you are the world's greatest DADDY! I am glad you're mine. I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK! Thanks for everything!
Happy Father's Day!

To my baby's da-da:
You never cease to amaze me with your patience and love you have towards Kendall. You are so thoughtful towards her needs. I love how you show her little things around the house to help her learn and grow. I love that you take time to take her to the mailbox as a daily routine and show her little things along the way. I love when you read her stories and sing her cute little songs. I love to watch her face when you come home from work. She loves you and I am excited to watch her continue to develop the love that only a little girl can have for her DADDY! Thanks for being a great new daddy to our sweet little girl.
Happy 1st Father's Day!

A VeggieTale Trance

I don't know what it is about VeggieTales, but Kendall is in LOVE! She will sit through an entire episode totally entertained. If she is tired, she will watch as much as she can, then fall asleep. When Papa was here, she sat on his lap and watched Bob the Tomato until she was sound asleep. It was really cute. I love the way she props herself on her elbow.

Photos of Kendall playing ball with Nana

Picture overload...but it was hard to pick out the best pictures. I love ALL of them. Her expressions are priceless. She got the biggest kick out of playing ball with Nana. I've never seen her react like this before. She was concentrating so hard. She is adorable, if I do say so myself!

Let's play BAAAALLLLLLL!!!

Nana and Papa are here for a visit. We are having fun with them...especially Kendall. Nana sat on the floor with her and played pass the ball. Kendall figured it out and got a kick out of it. She was actually laughing out loud.

Push It.....pu-push it real good!

Kendall was going to town on her little push toy (or whatever you call it). She is super cute trying to keep up with it. Sometimes it goes faster than she is able to...but she does pretty good.

(While watching, try to ignore her loud, annoying cheerleader in the background)

Miss Little Piggies

My friend, Coleen, came over and tortured my baby to get these things in...beauty IS pain, right girls? It was so worth it! She looked adorable. (I'm just kidding about the torture part). Coleen's a pro at getting these in without tears. I am the one, on the other hand, that has no clue how to do it without pulling her hair. What can I say, I'm a rookie! Give me time. It can be a bit tricky...especially when she has only 3 strands of hair and moves around like she has ants in her pants. I'm getting better one piggy at a time!

Triceratops Dino Baby

How cute is our little herbivore??? The other day, I found her snacking between meals. I am sure there is some nutritious food value in house plants. She makes us laugh.
