House For Rent

Anybody interested???
We are relocating to AZ this summer and need to rent our house.
If you or somebody you know wants to rent a beautiful 3 BR/2 BA + Den home... let us know!

Our terradactile!

This morning we woke up at 7am to the noises of Kaden. He was laying in his bed just talking away. He is such a little jabberer lately. He squeaks and squeals and there are times when he screams like a little girl. It's hilarious! The other night he was laying on the couch and after jabbering for about 10 minutes, he fell fast asleep!

Here are a couple video clips of him talking away this morning after breakfast.

BTW...we just noticed that Kaden has some parting thoughts for you at the end of the last video!)

So sweet!

Outdoor Pool Fun

Just when she thought she couldn't have anymore fun with the $6.00 pool...
IT JUST GOT BETTER!
She had a blast playing in her pool and playing with her giant turtle. I wish we had a bigger pool in our backyard, but this will just have to do for now. She's quite content.

^YeeHaw!^
^Cleve Shot^
She's starting early!
(Toni, Britt, and Jen...Does this pose look familiar?)

Indoor Pool Fun

Nothing like a $6.00 pool at Wal-mart to keep a girl happy. She couldn't wait for me to finish blowing up the pool. She was so excited. She sat in it pretty much all evening long. If we would have let her, she would have slept in it too.

^Snack-time^

^Dinner & a movie^
Gotta love that smile..."cheese!"

Our Little Four Eyes

Kendall loves to walk around the house with these glasses on. Today she insisted that I put them on Kaden. When I did, she laughed hysterically!!! He does look pretty cute...and pretty funny!

Our very own Mr. Potato Head, in person!

Our Little Sunshine!

Loves sunglasses!

And loves to dress up like a crazy-looking-ballerina-bag-lady with bangle bracelets and don't forget the sunglasses!
(I love the expression on her face!)
She's a crack-up!

It's Chow Time!!!

Kaden has been a really good eater (obviously), but lately he has been acting hungry even after his feedings. He either cries when it's gone or gnaws on his fists. I have supplemented extra feedings with formula and just recently started him on solids. This kid will eat just about anything!

First... ZUCCHINI

THEN... BANANAS

WHAT A SMILE!!!

Ta-da!

Kaden's doing his tricks again! After mastering rolling over from tummy to back at 5 weeks old, he has finally mastered rolling over from his back to his tummy. He has been super close for the past couple of weeks, but tonight he finally got it! He is such a strong little/BIG boy! I love his smile at the end of the video! What a champ!

(Don't mind the small chatter in the background...I was on the phone with my good friend, Holly, when he decided to do his thing.)

Service with a smile

^Heading out for our morning walk.^

Kendall knows that she needs to have her shoes on before we go outside. She runs around the house saying "shoosh", then promptly gets her shoes on so that we can go. The other day, she went into Kaden's shoe drawer and pull out a pair of his shoes. The next thing I know... she is trying to put them on his feet. And Kaden, well, he just smiles/giggles and thinks his sister is great! They really are two of the sweetest little ones anyone could ask for!

Let's hope things stay this way! {wink}

Happy Birthday to Shane!

Daddy-O turned 35 on Thursday (5/14). The big 3-5 is one of those big milestone birthdays, so I wanted to make it a big deal. We celebrated his birthday for 2 days. Thursday, we had dinner with his mom, David, and Delcie. I planned one of his favorite meals...BBQ tri-tip with some grilled zucchini, scalloped potatoes, and a yummy salad. Afterwards, we had THE yummiest cake I picked up at some French bakery in Sacramento. It was so pretty... until I dropped it on my way in the house. What are the chances? Luckily, the fondant frosting kept in all together.

^Smiling for the camera while Kendall tries to snag the birthday sign made out of white chocolate^
^She got it, then started munching on it!^
On Friday night, we left the babies in the care of Grandma and Grandpa and headed to Sacramento for a fun-filled evening. First stop, Guy Fieri's famous restuarant Tex Wasabi for some fabulous sushi. One of Shane's favorite things to eat!

Next stop, RPM where we suited up and raced around the track. RPM is an indoor kart racing place. Another one of Shane's favorite things...cars. He loved feeling like a speed racer in his race car. We had a blast!

^On your marks, get set, GO!^
^Our driver's licenses and driving speeds per lap^
Last stop, the Melting Pot for some dessert... chocolate fondue! It was so good, we didn't stop at just one... we had seconds!

^Ready to dive in^

^Round 1: Flaming Turtle (chocolate, caramel, and pecans)^

Round 2: Banana Foster (white chocolate, bananas, brown sugar, and cinnamon)^
Hope you had a great birthday! Thanks for all the love you show in word and deed towards me and the kiddos. You are truly a great husband and father. We are lucky to have you all to ourselves!

Mother's Day

My mother's day weekend started out with lots flowers on Saturday morning and just got better from there.

On Sunday, I woke up to a yummy blueberry pancake breakfast and a digital picture frame and then, we went to church.

Then returned home to hang out with Shane's family for the evening.

Chico 6th Ward Reunion

Shane and I put together a little reunion for the student ward we attended in Chico. We have many wonderful fond memories of that ward and so many fabulous friends we met while going there. This is the ward Shane and I met in almost a decade ago. Wow...how time flies!

We had a blast at the reunion and hope to do it again next year. Hopefully those that couldn't make it this year can come next year. It was so good to see so many old friends as well as our old bishop and his wife. GOOD TIMES!!!

Pictures of the event:

3 Months {Kaden}

SWEET, SWEET, SWEET, Little Boy!
I really don't think they come any sweeter than this little boy. There have been many times when I don't realize I have a second child until he makes a peep. He is our little gentle giant. He is growing so fast. Just when I put out his next set of clothes, it's time to pack them up again. I just put out his 3-6 mo clothes a few weeks ago and now they are packed away. I can't keep up!
At 3 months, Kaden:
  • is 18 lbs. and 27 inches long (4/28/09)
  • wears 6-12 month clothes
  • wears size 3 diapers
  • wears size 3 shoes
  • still has craddle c'r'ap
  • sleeps very well at night
  • has found his hands and likes to stare at them
  • started drooling
  • loves to ride in the car
^I love this photo of Kaden. This depicts how sweet, tranquil, cute, and precious this little boy is ALL the time.^
