Pumpkin Carving (Oct. 30)

Shane's Aunt Sandy gave Kendall a Mr. Potato Head pumpkin kit. She loved it! It was so much better than craving the pumpkin (and less messy too). Kendall had fun telling her daddy where to put the parts on the pumpkin.

Afterwards, we put it outside with all the other pumpkins...Kendall included!
Last year, Papa gave Kendall that pumpkin outfit. Last year it was a dress and this year it's a shirt! She loved wearing it!

"Put it on the table!" (Oct. 28)

There have been many times in the evening, right before bedtime, that Kendall really wants to eat something, do something, or wear something. So...we devised a plan that works really well. We tell her to put it on her table in her room and when she wakes up in the morning she can have it. She gets excited to put things on her table and even more excited in morning when she gets what she placed there the night before.

One night, she wanted a fruit popscicle before bed. I told her, "No.", then she immediately put her little finger up in the air (like she had a great idea) and said, "table". She ran off to her room and put in on her table.

I love how her little brain works.

Kendall's Health Problems Revealed

Our suspicions were correct! Kendall has been suffering from a serious case of pesticide poisoning! After canceling pest control and Kendall not getting sick again, we have concluded our own personal diagnosis. From what I've been reading on the internet...pesticides are pretty toxic even when they tell you they're not.

Our Pest Control service man told us that all of their chemicals are safe for pets and children AND I'm the idiot that believed them. When I called to cancel, they told me that they have an organic line they could use instead. Tell me this...why do they offer an organic line if the 'other' crap isn't harmful. A bit strange to me! I have learned a TON throughout this ordeal. AND if I could offer a bit of advice...stear clear from the toxic poisoning of pesticides (on your fruit and veggies too). It can cause a lot more problems than we are even aware of. (Key risks to name a few are cancer, birth defects, damage to the nervous system, infertility, and the functioning of the endocrine system).

I realize that every child is different and things affect each child differently, but what we experienced was way too scary not to pass the information along. Protect your babies!!!

A little side note: The other day, I saw a spider crawling around in the house. In the past, I would have picked up the phone, called Terminix and demanded that they come out and spray immediately. Now a days, I get on my hands and knees and welcome that cute little critter into my heart and home! They are so cute...have you seen them up close lately? I guess you could say that I have started looking at insect and spiders a bit differently.

Feeding the Bears (Oct. 27)

Kendall got out the ham out of the fridge and decided to have a little picnic with her bear. She placed him sitting up right across the way from her, then proceed to talk to him and feed him some food.
She is a funny, creative, little girl!

Papa and Nana's Visit (Oct. 21-25)

Nana and Papa came for a little weekend visit. It was lots of fun to have them in our home. Now that they have move to AZ, they have to travel a bit further. They spent a couple nights in L.A. visiting Mark and Toni, my dad had a doctor's appointment, and my dad stopped by to see his long time barber of 25 years to get his haircut.
We hope they come back soon!

Birthday Videos

I finally figured out how to shortened the video clips so I can post them on blogger. Only thing is...now the clips come in sections. Oh well.
Enjoy!

Kendall's Birthday Celebration (Oct. 18th)

I LOVE celebrating birthdays...especially for my kids. I can't even believe that we have a little 2-year old running around our house. She is such an amazing little girl!

This year Kendall's birthday fell on a Sunday. So, the evening before her birthday, she helped make treats for her little nursery class at church. She also helped make her butterfly cake. She loves to help in the kitchen. She is such a great helper!

On the morning of her birthday, we let her open her big present. She was so excited to say the least! Now, she has her very own kitchen to play with and cook up all sorts of treats for her babies and Barbies....which she does everyday! This kitchen comes complete with a phone that makes noise, pots that boil, pans that sizzle, a microwave that beeps, and a fridge and oven that open. She is in her little 2-year old heaven. It's fun to watch her play.

After church and after her nap, family and friends came over to celebrate her day. We had a yummy Italian dinner, Kendall opened her presents and we ended the evening with cake and ice cream!

{PRESENTS}

Kendall was hilarious...as she opened each present she wanted to put them on right away. As you view the following photos, you will notice that Kendall has on something new in each photo.

Trying hard to open the next present...her gymnastic leotard!

More presents...

Kendall was showered with lots of gifts and love from all of the people that were there. Thanks to all of you! You definitely made her day a special one!

Lastly, Kendall opened a horsey stick (or whatever you call them).

As soon as she saw it, she was riding it all over the place happy as can be...

{Cake Time}

Below is the photo of Kendall seeing her butterfly cake for the first time. After we baked the cake, I decorated it during her nap, then hid it from her until later. After I took it out and put it on the counter, her daddy lifted her up. She threw her hands up in the air and screamed!

Don't you just love her outfit!?!?!?

Da-da being a good sport and putting on her stuff. It's a good thing that leotard wasn't his size!

All in all it was a fantastic day! Everything turned out perfect!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KENDALL!

We Love You!!!
