What's Kendall been up to lately?

If anyone has ever been around Kendall, they know how much personality she has. She is SO much fun to be around. There is never a dull moment. These are a few things Kendall has been doing the past few days...
She brings me her blanket, turns around and insists that I put it around her like a cape. She will seriously walk around the house like that and smile the whole time.

Kendall has really been enjoying taking baths lately. She has so much fun in there. Some days she will walk in there, stand by the bathtub and want to go inside. There are many days I will take the opportunity to get ready for the day, while she is in the tub.
The other day, she wanted me to put Kaden in the bath with her. Once I did, she got so excited. She thought that was pretty cool. Ever since then, she has wanted to put all of her babies in the tub... especially the ones that aren't bathtub material.
So, I bought her a baby JUST for the bathtub. She loves it. She takes the washcloth and washes her baby, then rinses her off.

After she gets out of the tub, she wants her towel wrapped around her with the hood on. She then struts herself around the house.
Ever since Shane started his motorcycle while Kendall was standing close by, she has been been petrified of any loud noices (i.e. cars, big trucks, lawn mowers, vacuum cleaners, etc). Shane vacuumed the other day and Kendall took cover... under the bouncer. I guess she knew she'd be safe under there.

Poor Kendall... Kaden had all the fun little toys and Kendall has none. {pout} When we brought out the bouncer, we told Kendall that she could go inside because it was for Kaden and not her. Yeah, she didn't like that... so, everytime I looked over at her she was trying to figure out some way to get herself inside. She almost made it in a couple time. Her she is testing her limits all the while, staring at me because she knows she's not suppose to. Ooo!

As you can she the bottom shelf of the pantry is pretty much empty. She likes to open the door, take out everything, and play with it including the flour, powdered sugar, and all sorts of other messy things. I tried to put door knob safety thingys on, but she knows how to take those off. So, the other alternative was to cram everything on the other shelves. The other day, Kendall thought it would be fun to climb inside and play on the shelf.

Kendall LOVES to dance and sing when she hears any music. In this household, we watch American Idol on a weekly basis. When Kendall sees the performers on T.V., she runs a grabs her microphone and start dancing and singing like a crazy woman. It it really quite entertaining.
Press play below to catch her in action.
Kendall plays hard all day long. She goes and goes and when she stops, she falls asleep. Most days she wakes up between 6-7 am. She starts playing and usually falls asleep when she stops to eat lunch. Sometimes, she will be falling asleep while her hand is still in motion bringing food to her mouth. Just a slight choking hazard.Don't worry...we make sure she swallows before fully going to sleep.
She fell asleep in this position the other day. Our little poser!
This little girl had enriched our lives in so many ways. We love you, Kendall!

Kaden's New Furniture

Kaden looks like he is able to do things that a 7-10 month baby is able to do...but he can't! He's just flops around still. People pick him up expecting him to be able to hold himself and he can't. We should probably have he wear a onesie with a warning on it...Beware!
I took out some of our baby things like the bouncer and baby pod. He looks so cute in them. He loves the bouncer. He is actually able to touch the floor in it, so he is able to bounce around a little bit. He is very aware of all the little animal creatures and loves staring at them. Kendall freaked out a bit when he was able to go in it, but she wasn't. She's over it now...barely.
As for the baby pod, he's almost too big for it already. His little chubby legs are a tight fit. He's not 100% stable in it, but we use it for 'sit-up' therapy! ;~)
^"He's leaning"^
(For $1,000...What movie?)
I love holding him when he's not in his "furniture". He is such a love. He's so squishy and loveable. I love holding him when he sleeps. So peaceful. And his little fist, tucked up under his chin...how cute is that???

Nursery...WAHOO!

The Paparazzi came to church today to help document this glorious event. Ever since Kendall started walking at 10 months, church was attended in the hallways. She is contantly on the move and there's not much that slows her down. Today was her first 'official' day in nursery. She absolutely LOVES it. Me on the other hand...I love it however, I'm trying to not be a total freak about the germ thing. It is really nasty though. There are just SO many kids in there and they all seem to enjoys "eating" the same toys. Yuck-a! Oh well. It's good for her immune system, right?

Happy Birthday to Me!

The evening was spent in Chico. We went to La Salsa for dinner with the fam and one of my very bestest friend, Coleen. All I really wanted for my b-day is a strawberry whipped cream cake. Is that too much to ask for? They made sure that all my dreams came true. Then, Coleen watched Kendall and Kaden, while Shane took me to Chico State to see a play. Overall, it was a great BIRTHDAY!
I can't believe I am 34 years old. I feel like I just graduated high school. I really don't feel "that" old. Crazy! Where does the time go???
Just a few pics to document my big 3-4 birthday...

Park Day

A group of us got together for a "Park Day". Kendall loves to go to the park. She gets all giddy and crazy when see spots the park from far away. We all had a great time. There are about half-dozen families that all have little ones Kendall's age. It's fun to get together! (Thanks for the pics, Emily ;~)

Spring Break in AZ

Arizona was the place to be for spring break. This trip started out being small and simple and ended up huge and tons 'o fun. Shane and I decided to go out there during our time off to look for jobs plus my little niece, Taylor, was getting baptized. My parents would be our the same time for the baptism. Prior to the trip, my brother, Mike, called my mom and told her that Mamal (our grandmother) should come out to AZ too. Well, it just took off from there... from that one phone call, everyone was coming out to AZ: my family, my mom's two sister, my cousins, my 2nd cousins, my 3rd cousins, etc. It turned out to be a family reunion, all by chance. Most of us had not seen Mamal of Aunt Dottie for years. It was SO much fun to see everyone there.

^Traveling on the airplane...Kendall's "cheesey" grin^

They both did so well...Kaden slept the whole time while Kendall read books, colored, and ate her snacks.

^Mamal loved holding Kaden^
My mamal is THE sweetest lady you'll ever meet. She is so kind and so much fun to talk to. I can remember so many songs and stories that she has told me over the years. She is 87 years young. She has always been in such great health. She exercises still to this day. Just recently, she was diagnosed with macular degeneration and glaucoma. Her eyesight is failing her, but that doesn't stop her. She continues to do everything for herself that she can. I love her so much! I was glad I was able to see her again and that she was able to meet Shane, Kendall, and Kaden.

^Me and Aunt Dottie^

It had been many many years since I'd seen her last. She reminds me a lot of my mom and looks so much like her too. She is one hilarious woman. I love her fun, out-spoken, and crazy personality. She had us all laughing while we were there. It was great spending time with her. We wanted to go the FL to hang out with her again someday.

Our little family stayed with my brother, Mike, and his wife, Holly. They were excellent hosts. Their daughter, Payton and Kendall are the exact same age. They had a few struggles getting along, but maybe in a few years they'll be best friends. But for now, they are a little territorial. Kendall had a lot of fun with all their toys and their animals. It was kinda like being on a farm...;~) They have chickens and a turtle. Kendall enjoyed checking them out...very closely. I think she even got pecked by one of the chickens and tried to ride on the turtle.

I guess having a huge over-grown turtle in your backyard is very popular in AZ.

^Toni cuddling with Kaden^

My sis, Toni, and bro, Nick, stayed at Mike and Holly's too. Having them there made it even that much more fun. They are both so good with all the kids.

Some of the relatives stayed at a near-by hotel with a pool. One day we ventured over for a little swim.

Every evening we would switch off between Mike and Dannielle's house for dinners.

^Kendall, Camryn, and Tay playing Ring-Around-the-Rosie^

Kendall hearts her cousins, Camryn and TayTay. They played with her almost the entire time. Kendall had a blast.

One of my favorite things about my trip was that there were tons of people that wanted to hold Kaden. It was great! He is one heavy child, so distributing his weight a bit was fabulous.

One of the excursions was a trip to a nearby Ghost Town. We pretty much just went there for lunch and then left. It wasn't called a Ghost Town for nothing! Not much going on there!

You will notice Kendall's hand in Papa's shirt pocket. She know exactly where Papa hides the M&Ms.

Easter Eve we made some food crafts with the little ones for the holiday.

^Just Kendall being her cute self^

During this entire trip, Kendall just played and played and played. She would stop for anything. She was on the go and determined to have a good time. The minute we put her in her car seat to head back to Mike and Holly's, she was out before we even got down the street. She had SO much fun...probably more fun than anybody else there!
