Our Little Princess

Kendall's new thing lately has been dressing herself. She brings me clothes from her closet and/or drawers, hands them to me and insists that I put them on her.

^She loves her birthday tutu. She runs to get it when I watch Dancing with the Stars. She'll put it on and dance around the room like the dancers on the show. She has even learned to kick up her leg. She's funny! You should come check out her show!^


^The other day she started off with a onsie on, then added some footsie PJs without the feetsie in them, then wanted her princess PJs over the top. She looked good!!!^

Gotta Love Sundays!

...Now that Kendall is in nursery!!!

Well, not officially! I took Kendall to nursery 3 weeks prior to her official day. (No church next Sunday, then the following Sunday, we will be out of town. When we return, on 4/19, she will be official!) I wanted to see how she'd do. I didn't think she'd have a problem. In fact, I was only going to put her in for 20 minutes, but when I took her out, she cried and wanted to go back. So, in she went for the whole time. She LOVED it! I am excited for her to be entertained for a couple hours instead of walking laps around the church.

Another bonus: I teach Relief Society on the 3rd Sunday and Shane teaches the young men. Last month I took both the kids to Relief Society while I taught. Needless to say, it was a bit of a nightmare, but we survived. Thankfully there were lots of mommy-helpers.

Take a break in L.A.

After a 6 week stay at home on maternity leave, I needed to get away. So, I got on a plane and headed down to L.A. with 2 kids, 2 suitcases, a double-wide stroller, and a diaper bag. I wanted to take a little trip prior to returing to work the following week. We all had a great time. It was fun to spend time with my parents. They are always so helpful and love playing with Kendall and holding Kaden.

^Shane flew in Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with us. On Saturday night, we went to Flemmings for dinner while my parents babysat. To my surprise, we had a special guest join us for the evening. My sister showed up in the most hilarious outfit. She was trying to get me back...she did a much better job! I love this girl to pieces. She is so much fun to be around.^

Jibber Jabber

Kendall is hilarious! The other day, she carried on a very long conversation with her daddy and only she knew what she was talking about. She has tons of expression and intonation while she jabbers. Boy are we going to be in trouble when she really starts talking. I just wish I got more of it on video! Maybe next time!

Ahh..Starbucks!

Kendall experienced her very first Starbucks...vanilla bean frappuccino...yum! She loved it...who doesn't? She's hooked!

As we were getting ready for church, Kendall was in the family room with Kaden and this is what we found...

This girl LOVES to touch and play with computers EVEN when she knows she's not allowed. And lately, she has been dishing out some pretty funny dirty looks. This is one of them...

Bite Me!

I need to record this moment, so Kendall will look back at this and know what she did to me! Yep, that's right...Kendall bit me and bit me hard! She was mad about something I said to her and she got super frustrated. I just happened to be right there for her to take it out on me. I think this whole "new baby" thing is finally getting to her. She is realizing that she has to share her mommy with someone else. Luckily, she hasn't done anything to him...yet! She is a really sweet, kind, little girl... really she is!

Massage Anyone?

Daddy took out the massage table to give mommy a much needed massage and Kendall also reaped some of the benefits. She thought it was pretty fun to lay down and put her face on the head rest. When daddy was done, she wanted more.

Mommy's Helper

Kendall is so very helpful. She loves to put Kaden's pacifier in his mouth and loves to hold him. It is fun to watch her! So is so sweet with him!

I gave Kaden a bottle of formula (pumping is NOT my thing) for the first time when he was exactly 5 weeks old. I wanted to make sure he would be okay with it before I went back to work. He took it like a champ...sucked it down with no problem. Kendall, of course, wanted to help. I LOVE thelast picture...she is stroking his head while feeding him his bottle.

You've got to see it to believe it!...

Kaden is JUST 5 weeks old...click play on the videos below to see his latest trick. He does it every time we put him on his tummy. I was shocked the first time he did it, so I rolled him back over to see if he would do it again and sure enough...he did!

6 Flags Discovery Kingdom

My compadre, amigo, buddy, Drew called me up around 10am a few Saturdays ago and asked if I wanted to head over to 6 Flags in Valejo. A surprise baby shower had been planned that Saturday for Nikki & Kaden, so it worked out well for Kendall and I to take off for the day. I hooked up the DVD player in my car, threw in a car seat, grabbed some snacks and we were off. She took a nice nap on the way there and was totally into everything we did while we cruised through the park.

^ We hopped on a little tram (or train for Kendall!) from the parking lot^

There is this little bird exhibit where you pay a whopping $5 to feed a little cup of bird food to the little parrots. Kendall wasn't quite sure what to think while we were in there.

^ I didn't get a picture of it but there is this HUGE 3 story, 2 tree, tree-house. Kendall didn't make it up too far but she loved the few slides and bridges she was able to play on.^

Kendall is SO cute, fun, energetic, and loving. We are so blessed to have her.
