Packing and Moving Load #2

Shane and I left the kids with my parents on July 19th and flew into Sacramento, drove to Live Oak and got straight to work.
We had lots of wonderful people from our ward and Ann and David come and help us move.
We said a lot of sad tearful goodbyes. We are truly going to miss our ward family. We know we will never find another ward like it again!

The Law boys taking apart our bed....

Ann & David doing some repairs....

Fabulous friends packing...

Great guys helping lift and carry....

After the packing party, we went for yogurt.

The next day, Janet Little made us a homemade blackberry pie. It was so delicious! We pretty much ate off of that for the next few meals.

Friday night/Date Night (haha), we ordered Sushi and had a little carpet picnic in an empty house.

Saturday, we finished up all the odds and ends, cleaned the house, and touched up the walls for our renters.
(Story of the renters: I was going to call all the RS Pres. in our stake to inform them that we had a house for rent. I call Sister Orme first and she immediately told us that her son was in town for a job interview and they needed a place to live. She called him, sent him over to look at the place, decided him wanted it....and that's the story! Pretty amazing how the Lord work out the details of our lives).

Our empty house...sniffle, sniffle!

We finally got on the road at 6:30pm.

As we were driving off, I looked in the mirror and noticed all the paint streaks I had in my hair. HA!

We made it just in time to Yuba City to get the car trailer for Shane's car.

And we made it back to AZ safe and sound!
Welcome to our new place called HOME....

And we're off.... With load #1 and the kids!

The kids were hanging out in our closet as we were packing up our stuff....

Shane's 'true and faithful' friend Drew came up to help Shane pack the first load of stuff...

Daddy, the truck driver...

The kids all took turns riding with daddy in the big, big truck.
Kaden was first...

Keaton was next in the truck...

We stayed the night in a hotel...

Then it was Kendall's turn...

On our way to AZ, we stopped and had breakfast with Shane's grandparents....

On the last few hours of the trip, the Indians were getting restless.
I gave Keaton a pack of stickers that kept him entertained for quite awhile...

 We made it!!!

One of the coolest things we saw just 15 minutes from my parents house, was the new Gilbert Temple under construction....
Yes, this is the place!!!
We are excited to be here!

The House of Many Memories

Took these pictures to post a rental ad on craigslist.
Sad to move on. I can't believe it's happening!
