It's another BOY!

13 week ultrasound:
Yes, at 13 weeks (4/14/10) we were able to find out the sex of the baby. The technician said that most of the time she will give a rough guesstimate of 60/40, but she said she was 85% sure this little one was a BOY! I guess the girl parts can be swollen due to hormones and can often be mistaken for a boy, but the swelling was a bit too much on this little guy to be a girl.
The reason for the 13 week ultrasound...was to follow a subchorionic bleed in the uterus that was detected at my 9 weeks ultrasound. I wasn't too worried about it. They say that it's pretty common early on...people just don't get early ultrasounds to detect it. They wanted to follow the bleed every 4 weeks.

18 week ultrasound: Still a BOY!!!
The bleed has almost completely been disolved/absorbed and everything looks GREAT! Based the baby's size, my estimated due date is Oct 18th...but we don't get too excited about that! It's quite common with me and my babies. In fact, they said Kaden would come 2-3 weeks early based on his size and he was 8 days late. LIARS!!!
I really don't care when he comes...along as he is big and healthy! I actually like them to bake as long as possible...they're easier to take care of while they're inside! ;-)

"Peace out", he says!

Sac 'O Fun

April 24, 2010
Today, we spent the day in Sacramento to have a some fun. The day's first activity was getting Kaden's haircut. I have been growing out his hair because I wanted him to get a cute little boy cut. I also wanted to take him to one of those cute, kid-friendly hair places. I thought I would watch intently and get some pointers to do it myself one day. And to make a long story short, the lady didn't speak hardly any English, gave him a terrible hair cut, and then tried to charge me $18 bucks...what a total rip off!!! I don't recommend the idea to anyone. Yes, all the cute, fun little gadgets were a great and all...but not for the money!

Bad haircut or not...he's still the most adorable little boy in town!!!

After the haircut, we went to my brother-in-law, Robb's, sister's house to pick up a TV for us that barely fit into the back of my car along with some other stuff.
We had been telling Kendall that we were going to go on a pony ride...she could hardly wait. The horses had not arrived yet, so we went to Funderland (a fabulous place to go with little ones). Kendall loves the rides and Kaden is warming up to a few.

I went on the teacup ride with Kendall to be a cool mom and all...and afterwards...I was sick! I hate those things, always have. Oh well, it was way worth it for her sake!
Kaden was a bit apprehensive about this little fish ride. He made it around a few times, then starting crying. They stopped the ride and we took him off.

The Log Ride with Mommy...

Checking out the tiny hill...

A bit nervous...

The next ride was Kaden with his daddy driving the car. Kaden loved this ride. It was right up their alley....

Gotta take these pictures...

And gotta have some cotton candy...

LOVE THIS PICTURE...

AND THIS ONE TOO...
SO sweet!

Finally...the ponies arrived...

On our way back to the car...
We had a great time playing in Sac. Always an adventure! We love taking our kids out to explore new and exciting places. And I think they like it too!!!

My 35th Birthday!

April 18, 2010
OH the BIG 3-5...how I love thee! It's so weird cuz I still feel like I'm 23 (and some people would say I still act like it!) Other than advancing to the advance maternal age (AMA), I really don't feel too old.
My present this year was a sewing machine. I have been taking classes and still don't know how to use it!!! Oh well, maybe by my 80th birthday, I might be able to sew something!
I had a great birthday! This morning, Shane made me my very favorite breakfast, eggs benidict. It was quite the ordeal. He bought a poaching pan and had all 4 burners going plus the toaster. He did a fantastic job!

While breakfast was being cooked, the kids were entertained with a bowl filled with berries...

The chef's masterpiece...

You get everything you want on your birthday, right???...so, I asked Shane to take some cute pictures of the kids for me while I was getting dressed for church.
I loved how they turned out...

On our way to church, I had to snap a few more...

Kaden is always so tired and often times falls asleep on our way to church...

How precious it this...

We were invited to celebrate my birthday dinner at the Hagberg's home. Anne made a super delicious meal and then it was time for MY cake. Alright...so ever since my b-day last year, I have wanted this cake from a French bakery in Sacramento. I was everything I wanted and more...

Due to recent events, driving through the county roads in our town, the birthday song was sung meow style. A couple of weeks ago, I hit a cat going 65 MPH down the road where the Hagberg's live and pretty much mutilated it. First time I have ever hit an animal. Nasty experience!

My two little helpers...

So...when I ordered my cake, the lady asked what I wanted it to say on it...
(It was the first thing that came to mind!!!)

Kendall got the first taste of the cake...

Happy Birthday to me!!!
Thanks to everyone who made my day a special one!
